Arena Solutions Strengths, Domain Expertise, and Key Differentiators
Arena Solutions closed a successful 2017 by surpassing the 1,000-customer mark. Arena Solutions Recent Developments
In July 2018, Arena Solutions released Arena Requirements Management as part of its Summer 2018 software release. Requirements Management complements the Arena Tickets issue management solution to bring design teams together, allowing them to manage new product development (NPD) requirements and issues, in addition to enhancements for future iterations and new product work-all connected to the existing product record and quality processes.
With this release, Arena capitalizes on the product record, product project management, and quality processes customers use within the platform by providing connected development requirements, as well as issue and enhancement management capabilities. With all NPD requirements managed within the context of the entire product record, customers gain transparency across product teams to collaborate and make proactive adjustments from early concept to new product introduction (NPI).
Arena Solutions Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Activities
In October 2018 Arena Solutions has acquired Omnify Software, a leading provider of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software for discrete manufacturers. Omnify is based in Andover, Mass. with a large customer base in the electronics, medical devices, aerospace and defense, and telecommunications markets. Its experienced staff, products, and customers build on Arena’s leadership in developing comprehensive cloud-based software that increases the success of new product development (NPD) and new product introduction (NPI) processes to reduce costs, risks, and improve profitability.
Omnify’s employees will continue to work with customers from the company’s Andover office. Arena Solutions will maintain support for Omnify’s family of products while leveraging the combined experience of both companies to accelerate the development of future products and provide a path forward for the combined customer base. The Omnify acquisition comes as Arena continues to experience rapid growth in the Internet of Things (IoT) and medical device markets. It recently expanded its offices into Austin, Texas, and Suzhou, China. Customers like Nutanix, Enphase Energy, Bio-Rad, Kymeta, and GoPro use Arena to speed innovation and delivery of high-quality products to the market.

Arena Solutions Market Opportunities, M&A and Geo Expansions
Arena Solutions unveiled an industry-wide initiative revealing a new product innovation paradigm on evolving products to platforms in a rapidly changing global environment. This paradigm offers new operating principles for product innovation, with practical advice and best practices on how to bolster innovation at any time. From managing supply chain shocks to evolving new models of supply chain cooperation and collaboration, this new industry resource highlights the pervasive move to connected product platforms and connected customer experience. This allows industries to propel forward in an era of mounting complexity, continuous technical advancement, and, most importantly, the current climate, forcing manufacturers to adapt processes on the go.
Arena Solutions, pioneer of a cloud-based, all-in-one product development platform that unites PLM (product lifecycle management), ALM (application lifecycle management), supply chain collaboration and QMS (quality management systems), published that Q2 2017 saw the overall business grow by 35 percent over the same period last year, resulting in a second consecutive quarter growth of 30 percent or more. Gains were driven by robust sales of new products and additional seat licenses into the company's installed base.
Arena Solutions Risks and Challenges
A greater emphasis on competitive upgrades against PLM incumbents such as PTC and Dassault could help Arena reinforce the intrinsic value of its Cloud-centric strategy, thereby winning over customers that still have plenty of their PLM assets behind their fire wall.
Arena Solutions Ecosystem, Partners, Resellers and SI
In June 2019 Arena Solutions has broadened its sales channel in the EMEA region adopting a think global, act local approach that considers local customs, language, and culture. Under the new partnership, eBOM will be able to replicate its successful sales model to all resellers in EMEA and Israel by enabling companies to streamline collaboration with distributed teams and supply chains throughout the new product development process.
Arena Solutions partnered with XPLM, Inc., an independent IT service provider and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems integrator, to launch the Arena's XPLM Integration for SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional. Arena's resellers are: eBOM, manofit, ProductStream, EDA direct, ERP Logic and others.
