In January 2019, Augeo introduced REACH, its new employee engagement platform. With REACH, HR leaders now have an integrated toolset to develop a deeper understanding of the skills and interests of each employee, as well as ways to encourage teamwork, facilitate career development, and promote cultural alignment.
Augeo Affinity Marketing Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Activities
In February 2021, Augeo acquired Deluxe Rewards and Wellington, based in Overland Park, KS. The acquisition of Deluxe Rewards, brings a patented, dual currency, loyalty and engagement technology powered by an expansive collection of premium retail goods and travel services. In addition, unique experiential rewards are available to end-users at significantly reduced prices. The value to end users comes from these exclusive discounts, and Augeo can now offer clients a meaningful loyalty rewards program without the accrued liability that makes such programs cost-prohibitive for some organizations.
And the acquisition of Wellington complements Augeo's growing live and virtual meetings, events, community building and incentives business. For over two decades, Wellington has delivered signature experiences focused on stakeholder engagement, to help companies strengthen relationships with employees, customers, communities or members. The combination of the two companies creates a powerhouse organization that supports the full experience engagement lifecycle.
In April 2020, Augeo acquired Empyr, a San Diego based card-linking platform for national brands and digital publishers. Together, they plan to launch a new company called Figg, combining the financial institution card-linking business of Augeo with the extensive publisher experience of Empyr. Augeo will continue to serve its clientele independently. Figg, the new company is planned to represent one of the largest user bases in the card-linking industry, with more than 60 million users and $300 billion in transaction volume. Figg will bring new card-linked opportunities for advertisers, publishers and consumers.
In September 2019, Augeo Affinity Marketing bought MotivAction, a Minneapolis-based enterprise engagement firm, the company announced Thursday morning. Enterprise engagement focuses on creating connections between companies and their employees and customers. For example, MotivAction is known for running employee recognition and sales incentive programs for other companies. Augeo has similar programs, but what they don't have is a meetings and events business, which MotivAction does.
Augeo has been both buyer and seller of companies over the best two years. In 2018, it sold its business division Augeo FI to Lightyear Capital, a private equity firm based in New York City. Augeo made eight smaller acquisitions in the years before the Augeo FI sale.
In February 2019, Augeo acquired Wingnut Advertising, a Minneapolis-based company delivering agency services since 2003. The acquisition will nearly double the size of Augeo Digital’s agency, a business unit of Augeo, and strengthen its capabilities in creative, strategic branding, website development, and digital communications.
