In June 2018, Mastercard partnered with Stargo, a company leveraging artificial intelligence in the freight industry to deliver routing, pricing, and payment automation for freight forwarders. By integrating trusted Mastercard commercial payment solutions with Stargo’s price optimization engine, players in the freight industry will be able to benefit from a more efficient procure-to-pay process that delivers end-to-end transparency and reconciliation. Stargo recently integrated its service with BluJay Solutions, a supply chain software and services provider for the global freight industry. A pilot involving the three companies is planned to launch later this year. In November 2017, BluJay Solutions unveiled its MobileSTAR mobility platform. MobileSTAR is a flexible, easy-to-deploy platform that manages the last-mile delivery experience for shippers and carriers of all types. BluJay Solutions Recent Developments
BluJay Solutions launched its Transportation Modeling application, built-in collaboration with LLamasoft, the leading provider of AI-powered supply chain analytics software. The application equips shippers with analytics to evaluate multiple scenarios and tradeoffs of making changes to operational policy and their potential to improve service and reduce costs.
In March 2019, BlueJay Solutions partnered with Fujitsu to develop an innovative technology solution to maintain an open border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland while also enabling customs checks to be made by the UK and Irish Governments. BluJay brings high-capacity customs management and mobility software to the project, allowing individual shipments – rather than trucks – to be tagged and monitored on their journey. Geo-tagging technology on each shipment will notify both Governments and shippers when the cargo crosses the border, prompting the customs system to automatically complete the necessary checks and digitally deliver requests for duty payment as required.
In October 2018, Evergreen Garden Care selected BluJay’s MessageBroker platform to provide a fully managed integration service that easily integrates all of Evergreen Garden Care’s trading partners with its new analytics data platform. The same month, logistics services provider (LSP) Abreu Carga has selected BluJay’s Transportation and Warehouse Management software as its platform to plan and execute all transportation moves across all modalities and lanes. Abreu Carga is the market-leading air freight services provider in Portugal, offering transportation and logistics services for customers by air, ocean, and road – along with warehousing operations.
In April 2017, Sunny Europe has selected BluJay’s Customs Management software platform. With ambitions for strong growth in Europe, Sunny determined it was important to work with a single software system with which it can handle declarations in all countries. In December 2017, BluJay Solutions has been selected by Trust Forwarding, one of Scandinavia’s top freight forwarders and a division of SAS Cargo Group A/S, to provide it with a comprehensive cloud-based transport management system. After decades of using a manual on-premise system, Trust has implemented BluJay’s Transportation Management, a cloud-based TMS platform that will enable it to increase its business efficiency, run cost control in-house, and improve its integration with partners and customers.
In December 2017, BluJay Solutions welcomes its newest customer, Ponden Home Interiors. The homeware arm of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group, which operates across design, retail, and distribution. Ponden Home Interiors implemented BluJay’s Commerce solution to improve customer experience significantly over the next 18 months.
