In October 2021, BMC, announced several new BMC Helix and Control-M innovations that extend data science in the enterprise to gain more value and insights and better serve customers, while increasing agility and resilience.

In March 2020, BMC Software acquired RSM Partners, a global provider of mainframe services and software with a focus on mainframe security. The RSM acquisition brings penetration testing capabilities to mainframe systems for vulnerability detection across both infrastructure and applications.

BMC Software has added its Helix Cognitive Service Management solution on Microsoft Azure. Businesses can now use BMC Helix on the cloud of their choice, including Azure, AWS, and the BMC cloud.
