Distribution One Market Opportunities, M&A and Geo Expansions
In 2021, Distribution One has partnered with Avalara (NYSE: AVLR), a provider of tax compliance automation for businesses of all sizes. As a result of this partnership, Distribution One’s ERP-ONE customers can now choose Avalara’s AvaTax to deliver sales and use tax calculations within existing business applications at the time of checkout or billing — in real-time. In addition, Avalara’s CertCapture solution will collect, store, manage, and renew tax documents from vendors and buyers safely in the cloud, instead of dealing with a disorganized mass of digital or paper files. CertCapture helps businesses achieve compliance and remain audit-ready.
In July 2019, Business AI is built into Distribution One’s comprehensive ERP-ONE+ business software. Artificial Intelligence (AI) automatically analyzes Big Data to improve user experience and decisions based on real-time insights across the entire supply chain. Integrated Business AI virtually eliminates the time-consuming manual user analysis conducted by purchasing personnel. For instance, ERP-ONE+ can suggest items to purchase based on data from current customer buying trends or seasonal demand. ERP-ONE+ automatically calculates Suggested Buying information using Big Data which determines the purchase quantity and pricing recommendations. Any changes to these Purchase Factors (like Min/Max, Average Lead Time, Classification, etc.) will drive an automatic recalculation of the Suggested Buying information.
In February 2019, Distribution One released ecommONE. An Ecommerce interface, ecommONE communicates directly with ERP-ONE+ distribution software to place orders, check inventory availability and pricing, view open and backorder items, and more. The ecommONE website extends sales functionality to both desktop and mobile devices. Functionality like credit card payments and shipping rate comparisons is available in tier portal options with the addition of supplemental integrations. Lastly, ecommONE also includes hosting as part of the monthly service plan. An ecommONE interface is a tool for distributors looking to both establish and expand their online sales presence.
