Drive Software Solutions Strengths, Domain Expertise, and Key Differentiators

DRIVE Leasing Module includes processing charges (including recharges) against leases, which can be managed manually or be scheduled to run on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. The leasing module also includes invoice consolidation, for customers who operate within a hierarchy, and sales invoice generation.

The leasing module manages the contract for the life of the lease including vehicle transfer, extensions and write-offs. DRIVE comprehensively manages the history of both the contract and the asset. Imminent expiry functionality provides a pro-active approach to leases due to expiration. Using various configuration rules, replacement or extension quotations can be generated and made available to the customer ahead of the contract termination date.

The rules can include definitions for how many days before the end of the contract to produce a quotation, default extension period and distance parameters, calculation of distance at contract end and provide a quotation if the distance will exceed by a given percentage. DRIVE Fleet Management and Leasing software product - a single generic product that can support vehicle management requirements worldwide.

Drive Software Solutions Recent Developments

DRIVE Software was launched with several major clients over the past few years, including BNP Paribas-owned Arval, one of the world's biggest leasing companies. DRIVE established a strong reputation for its software with Arval UK in 2011, its platform was extended to Arval in Italy in 2014, France in 2016, and Spain last year, adding hundreds of thousands of units to the vehicles managed by DRIVE. It also secured major contract wins with other UK-based leasing brands, including TCH Leasing, Sandicliffe Motor Contracts, and GKL.

Drive Software Solutions Market Opportunities, M&A and Geo Expansions

In 2021, DRIVE Software Solutions received £10 million in funding from John Porter, technology entrepreneur and venture capitalist. The £10 million will continue to accelerate DRIVE’s ODO platform’s growth, powered by ORACLE Cloud, which has enabled brokers and dealers across the United Kingdom to build digital businesses during COVID.

In 2020 DRIVE Software Solutions (DRIVE) has attracted a top technology executive team into its C-Suite of senior managers to position itself as the de-facto platform of choice in cloud-enabled fleet management. Richard Parris, Chairman of Sabien Technology Group plc and Chief Executive Officer at Salt Cybersecurity Ltd, will become Chairman of the Board upon completion of a current assignment. Joining DRIVE as CEO is David King who has built and exited successful technology firms for 20-plus years. Robert Gorby, Chief Commercial Officer, brings 20 years of sales and marketing experience to DRIVE. The combined team recognizes the huge potential for DRIVE given the momentum of global technology events, like the arrival of 5G and IoT, coupled with changes expected in mobility and fleet management, such as the growth in mobility as a service offering and autonomous vehicles.

In December 2019, DRIVE Software Solutions (DRIVE) has secured funding from Swiss investment firm VIVA Investment Partners (VIP) to accelerate its global growth in the consolidating digital fleet management market.

In 2018, Drive Software Solutions decides the time is right for the company to expand its offering. Drive's Business Unit continued to target multi-national leasing companies and global fleets; Business Unit 2 extends the fleet management solution into mid-market leasing companies (in the UK, this is the FN50 minus the top eight).

In 2018, Drive has opened a third Business Unit, Odo, which is aimed at small-to-medium enterprise (SME) fleets upwards, from those operating just one vehicle to those with several thousand.

Drive Software Solutions Risks and Challenges

Drive Software Solutions management relies heavily on Oracle. According to the critics, they are developing a product which doesn't worth the money. In comparison to others, they are 10 years late with the business modernization. Entering late and unprepared in a highly competitive market. With plains to expand worldwide to markets as China, Japan and India were to be competitive you need to have a solid product.

Drive Software Solutions Ecosystem, Partners, Resellers and SI

In April 2021, Kudos Vehicle Management, one of the UK’s most respected independent contract hire and vehicle leasing companies, partnered with ODO. The partnership aims to satisfy growing demand from Kudos customers for Fleet Management and will accelerate Kudos’ business growth by introducing new recurring revenue streams.

DRIVE is available in 55 countries worldwide, the business tries to remain true to its original strategy of partnering major leasing companies and global fleet operators with hundreds of thousands of vehicles.

DRIVE focuses on partnering with leading companies in their fields to achieve the highest standards for clients, including global cloud and platform services giant Oracle, on which the company's software is based.
