In July 2021, India’s Leading Teleshopping Network - Naaptol, has selected EbixCash’s BPO Division – EbixCash Global Services as its Customer Care Operations partner for the East Region. Naaptol is a free to air television and online network that has emerged as the the No.1 home shopping company of India, while specializing in televised home shopping. The deal involves EbixCash deploying a number of centers across multiple cities to optimize and manage Naaptol’s Customer Care Operations. Naaptol today serves 24,000 zipcodes in India, the highest among all ecommerce players, providing it a countrywide reach. The brand prides itself on high quality, state-of-the-art, affordable, innovative consumer goods and lifestyle products. From home decor to apparels to toys to kitchen appliances, the brand encapsulates fashion, luxury, comfort and style to its product portfolio combining innovation, affordability and modernity. In August 2020, Naaptol partnered with EbixCash to initially target the Telugu and Kannada marketplace. The success of that partnership resulted in Naaptol recently selecting EbixCash to manage its customer care operations for the Eastern region of India also.
In July 2020, BSE Ebix Insurance Broking Private Limited, a joint venture of BSE and Ebix Fincorp Exchange Pte Ltd., today announced the beta launch of Life insurance on its state-of-the-art hi-tech platform by enrolling two of India’s leading Life Insurance Companies, Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Co Ltd & Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Co Ltd.
In June the same year, Ebix launched integration with AnnuityNet, EbixExchange’s industry-leading order-entry solution for annuity transactions, and SIMON Markets LLC and SIMON Annuities and Insurance Services LLC (“SIMON”). In May 2020, Ebix acquired from bankruptcy India-based Trimax, which provides IT and integration services to state-owned transport corporations, operates data centers, and is an IT infrastructure solution provider, for approximately $9.9 million of upfront consideration.
In October 2020, the Ebix acquired a 70% interest in AssureEdge Global Services (“AssureEdge”). AssureEdge is pan-India based business process outsourcing ("BPO") company, with a variety of BPO offerings via six contact centers across India. It serves a number of industries and clients that have cross-selling value for EbixCash services.
In August 2018, Ebix AD acquired Mercury Travels from Mumbai and Free Corp Corporation in Delhi with a cumulative amount of approximately $14.2 million in order to create a new Travel Direction in order to focus on the tourism market segment.
