Eventbrite Recent Developments

In February 2017, Eventbrite, the world’s largest event technology platform which powers more than two million events around the globe each year, launched Eventbrite Venue, the first fully integrated booking, operations and ticketing solution tailor-made for music venues.

This new product combines the capabilities of Queue, a company Eventbrite acquired in early 2016, with the ticketing power of Eventbrite through a single login and interface.

In April 2018, Eventbrite acquiried Ticketea, a leading Spanish ticketing provider that helps people easily find and purchase tickets to a variety of live experiences, including festivals, concerts, and performing arts shows. The union will further the momentum Eventbrite has seen since acquiring Ticketscript in January 2017 and solidify its position as a leading midmarket and self-service ticketing solution in Europe.

Eventbrite M&A Activities

In August 2018, Eventbrite acquiried Picatic, a registration platform for event organizers, non-profits, enterprise and developers.

Eventbrite Strengths

Eventbrite is an online ticketing application that allows event organizers to plan, set up ticket sales and promote events (event management) and publish them across Facebook, Twitter and other social-networking tools directly from the site's interface. It also enables attendees to find and purchase tickets to these events.

The company generates revenue by charging organizers a fee of 2.5% of the ticket price plus 99 cents per ticket sold, but does not charge any fee for free events.
