ION Trading Strengths

Following a number of acquisitions and cross-ownership expansion moves, ION Trading has emerged as the leading TRM applications vendors for central banks, multinationals as well as major financial institutions.

The latest expansion was in January 2013 with the purchase of IT2 through Wall Street Systems, which was acquired by ION in July 2011. Wall Street Systems also owns City Financials, a TRM solution for corporates; Treasura for SaaS-based cash management; as well as Wallstreet Suite for central banks. Additionally Wall Street sells GBS/Atlas Global Banking for tier-1 banks to manage an array of treasury functions for their clients, while ION Trading has assembled a growing list of risk aggregation, trading and banking applications.

After successfully addressing the full spectrum of back-office, trading, treasury and risk management needs of corporate and banking customers, ION Trading has become a formidable software vendor in the TRM applications market, or for that matter multiple financial-services segments including fixed income, credit, commodities and FX. As a result, its diversified product portfolio has resulted in dependable recurring revenues from long-standing customers who may have little reason to make system switches.
