Irish digital banking platform LEVERIS has expanded into a new market. The startup has enabled major financial services firm Link Group to enter the Dutch market and is now executing loans and servicing millions of euros for three Link Group clients.

Since deployment, the LEVERIS Digital Banking Platform has helped deliver a 70% reduction in average application to drawdown time, enabled the onboarding of additional lenders to the platform in less than four weeks, and delivered a significant reduction in operational costs for Link Group.

Leveris Market Opportunities, M&A and Geo Expansions

Leveris felt the impact of Covid last year, however, Leveris had used the time to further develop its banking platform, form new strategic partnerships and do longer-term planning. The company saw losses mount and revenues but, Leveris focus currently is North America, where it sees big opportunities. In 2021, Leveris is looking at the US as a key expansion market. Channel partners have become and will continue to be a major feature of its growth.

In August 2018 Leveris secures investment of 15 million euros from Link Asset Services, part of the Link Group, has invested in Ireland-based core banking firm Leveris. As opportunities in the banking sector emerge where new technologies and falling barriers to entry continue to transform the financial services landscape, strategically for Link Group, the Leveris platform will be used for their banking and credit management clients on an outsourced basis.

Alongside new regulations from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Competitions and Market Authority (CMA) banks are now able to move from reactive to predictive behavior and services, enabling them to better serve their customers.

Leveris Risks and Challenges

Leveris saw losses mount and revenues fall in the year prior to the Covid crisis. Recently filed accounts show turnover fell from $9.8 million to $2.5 million in 2019 while pretax losses rose to $3.7 million from $2.4 million a year earlier.

Expanding into a wider global market, outside of Europe, could be a challenge.
