SABRE Corp. Recent Developments
In 2020, Sabre had plans on merging with Farelogix, an airline industry technology provider. The plan was unsuccessful because United Kingdom’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) prohibited the transaction. Later in July, Accelya aquired Farelogix.
In November 2018, Sabre Corporation acquired Farelogix, a recognized innovator in the travel industry with advanced offer management and NDC order delivery technology used by many of the world's leading airlines. The joint effort enables Sabre customers that use Cheetah Loyalty as part of the Sabre Commercial Platform to not only manage loyalty programs but also better market to consumers in the digital age, strengthening carriers abilities to retain and attract customers while spurring new revenue.
SABRE Corp. Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Activities
In October 2019, Sabre acquired Radixx, an airline retailing software provider with an established presence in the low cost carrier (LCC) space. As a combined portfolio, Sabre and Radixx will offer innovative and comprehensive solutions for all segments of the market, from LCC to network carriers.

Sabre enlarged it's ecosystem with distribution agreements with a couple of airlines in key geo markets for Sabre. Some of them are SAS, Royal Air Philippines, United Airlines, Air New Zealand, Finnair, and others.
As part of Sabre's mission to reimagine the business of travel, Sabre's Commercial Platform is the industry's only platform to enable complete digital transformation through intelligent retailing that includes dynamic pricing capabilities, a flexible and open API hub, an ultra-fast shopping engine and a mobile-first, consumer-grade workspace for airport agents.
SABRE Corp. Risks and Challenges
The outbreak of the coronavirus has hit the travel technology and distribution company across all its metrics. This has led Sabre to post major fall in revenues for the first quarter of 2020.
SABRE Corp. Ecosystem, Partners, Resellers and SI
In January 2020, Sabre partnered with Google Cloud. The 10-year-strategic partnership between Google and Sabre will enable the travel provider to improve operational agility while developing new services and creating a new marketplace for its airline, hospitality and travel agency customers.
Sabre does most of its sales via direct sales force but it works with resellers too, such as Hospitality Plus (resellers of Sabre Hospitality Solutions in South-East Africa and Indian Ocean islands).
In October 2018, Sabre strengthens its partnership with Jet Airways, India's premier, full-service international airline. Effective April 2019, Sabre's extended agreement with Jet Airways provides Sabre connected agents across India and the world a path to access the full content of Jet Airways into the year 2024.
With over 100 million passengers choosing Indian carriers for their travel since the beginning of the year and domestic air travel growing by 21,2 per cent over the same period, in less than 10 years the World Travel & Tourism Council expects India to become the world's fourth-largest travel and tourism economy behind China, the United States and Germany.
