The spread of COVID-19 and the recent developments surrounding the global pandemic is having significant negative impacts on all aspects of the company business. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused major shifts in the travel ecosystem resulting in the changing needs of their airline, hotel and agency customers. Although these headwinds are moderated in the second half of 2020, air bookings remain down approximately 90% year-over-year.

In January 2020, Sabre partnered with Google Cloud. The 10-year-strategic partnership between Google and Sabre will enable the travel provider to improve operational agility while developing new services and creating a new marketplace for its airline, hospitality and travel agency customers.

Sabre does most of its sales via direct sales force but it works with resellers too, such as Hospitality Plus (resellers of Sabre Hospitality Solutions in South-East Africa and Indian Ocean islands).

In October 2018, Sabre strengthens its partnership with Jet Airways, India's premier, full-service international airline. Effective April 2019, Sabre's extended agreement with Jet Airways provides Sabre connected agents across India and the world a path to access the full content of Jet Airways into the year 2024.
