In March 2020 Sharpen Technologies expanded its portfolio. In 2018, Sharpen increased its new contract dollar amount by 700 percent and increased booked annual recurring revenues by 150 percent over the previous year. It also increased its contact centre customer count by 80 percent over 2017. Sharpen Technologies, experienced continued growth in the first half of Q4 2019, signing on a number of new clients in the financial, energy, health, and home improvement sectors, among others. Premium Service Brands, a national franchisor of home improvement services, decided to replace their old legacy premise system with Sharpen to take advantage of its flexibility and integration capabilities. Another new client, SafeAmerica, a $400 million community-chartered credit union serving approximately 35,000 members, chose Sharpen for its easy-to-use omnichannel toolset that improves both their agents and members experiences.

In November 2018 Sharpen Technologies and Telarus, a privately held technology services distributor in the U.S., signed a Master Agent agreement. The agreement enables the 4,000-member Telarus community of sales agents to offer Sharpen’s contact centre and unified communications solutions. Telarus sales agents can now connect potential customers with Sharpen account executives, who will then manage the sales process, including billing, deployment, services, and support.
Telarus has become a leader in its market by offering sales agents differentiated services that include real-time quotes on products, personalized support from industry experts, direct contracts with carrier partners, audited commissions, and home-grown software that maximizes efficiencies.
By the end of 2019, Sharpen Technologies put into motion its Consultant Liaison Program. The new initiative is designed to educate independent consultants on Sharpen’s scalable and secure platform which allows users to seamlessly transition between calls, texts, webchats, emails, social media, video, and more, all in real-time and all within a single interaction.
