Since transitioning to public safety business to the ShotSpotter Flex model in 2011, ShotSpotter has added over 60 new ShotSpotter Flex customers. The city of Chicago and the City of New York are their largest customers. In 2019, ShotSpotter signed a 3-year deal worth $4.27 million with Puerto Rico Public Housing Authority.
ShotSpotter Market Opportunities, M&A and Geo Expansions
In October 2018, ShotSpotter acquired HunchLab. HunchLab applies risk modeling and artificial intelligence to help forecast when and where crimes are likely to emerge and recommends specific patrol missions and tactics that can deter these events. After the acquisition, it was renamed to ShotSpotter Missions.
