Slack Huddles is a product of Slack’s partnership with Amazon and enhancements to Slack Connect.
In 2021, Slack and Salesforce also finalized their historic partnership which was originally announced in December of 2020. The combination of Salesforce and Slack also brings together two of the software industry’s most dynamic communities, creating an open and extensive ecosystem that will deliver the next generation of digital-first apps and workflows for business.

Slack, Salesforce Company Risks and Challenges
Similar to other high-flying startups, there have been growing pains with Slack. In March 2015, Slack reported a security breach that prompted the vendor to make two-factor authentication available to its users. Given many of its users are accessing Slack via their mobile devices, security protocols will continue to be a hot topic for any organization considering and/or authorizing their teams and employees to send and receive sensitive or privileged information over the messaging platform.
The more popular Slack becomes, the more it will be competing with the corporate email system as the de facto standard for workers to communicate with one another. And security will always be the overriding concern before Slack becomes the standard messaging system in the executive suites as well as for groups of team workers large and small.
