About the Customer
Rubio's Coastal Grill, formerly known as Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill, is a fast casual "Fresh Mex" or "New Mex" restaurant chain specializing in Mexican food, with an emphasis on fish tacos. As of 2013, Rubio's operates, licenses or franchises more than 200 restaurants in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, and Utah. Its headquarters are in Carlsbad, California.
Scope and Challenges
Rubio’s realized that it needed to find a replacement for its inefficient paper-based process. The Rubio’s HR team examined six HR systems, looking for the perfect fit for the organization’s requirements. In the end, they choose Dayforce HCM for two reasons: the fact that Dayforce HCM is one platform, and on the other side the easy implementation.
Outcome and Implications
For Rubio’s, adoption of the Dayforce HCM platform led to a significant reduction in administrative costs, including the elimination of over 100,000 pieces of paper each year. It has also helped to prepare them for significant growth in the marketplace by making their systems more scalable. Dayforce HCM’s self-service capabilities also made the system very attractive to the Rubio’s team.
