In August 2020, Fuse expanded their portfolio of network connectivity options. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak forced a lot of companies and their employees to work remotely. This new way of working demanded communications software. Providers across the board reported unprecedented growth in usage. Fuze has seen an increase in meetings by 251%.
In 2018, Fuze received additional $150M in funding. The round was led by Boston-based Summit Partners, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners and other existing investors––bringing Fuze’s total funding to $484.8M. The investment was used to accelerate product innovation in the UC $45B+ TAM, and drive global expansion to serve the growing enterprise market demand for cloud communications. This investment will help to accelerate continued growth and innovation of the Fuze platform and expansion of the company’s business operations globally.
In February 2017, Fuze closed $104 million in financing led by Wellington Management Company LLP. This investment brings the company’s total funding to $304 million. The new capital will be used to continue expanding internationally and to fund product innovation for Fuze’s enterprise customer segment.

In May 2020, Fuze launched The Fuze Integrations Ecosystem which features a developer center that includes APIs and documentation; a marketplace that enables integration with the applications customers already use day-to-day; and personalized integration solutions scoped and built for specific use cases. Fuze also announced a suite of Google product integrations to support remote workers, leveraging existing integrations that include Fuze Web for Google Chrome, and the Google Chrome Browser Extension with the Fuze Meeting Google Plug-in.
In April 2020, Fuze enhanced its integration with the Slack messaging platform. Building on the existing Fuze integration for Slack, users can now seamlessly escalate to a Fuze voice call directly from the new Slack interface, further simplifying enterprise communications and enhancing collaboration across the two platforms.
In February 2020, Fuze integrated with Microsoft Teams. The integration provides a seamless handoff between the two platforms when moving from Teams channels to Fuze calls or meetings. It also includes Teams-enabled commands for one-click transition from chat-to-live video or calling. The integration also combines Teams’ 20 million active users with Fuze’s enterprise UCaaS solution and global telephony in more than 110 countries. According to Fuze, the integration enables cross-platform collaboration, encouraging greater digital inclusivity.
In March 2019, Fuze partnered with mobile device manufacturer Samsung Electronics America to provide mobile UCaaS for remote and distributed workers. The partnership primarily targets frontline workers, who are customer-facing employees in industries like retail, healthcare and manufacturing. These types of employees are not often represented in UC services, which typically focus on knowledge workers and office employees.
