Saba Software Strengths

Saba specializes in HCM applications including enterprise learning, talent management, performance, planning and collaboration solutions delivered through the Saba People Cloud. In March 2015, Saba was acquired by PE firm Vector Capital. The deal gave Saba more room to reorganize and restore its growth momentum, further expanding its Cloud offerings for Recruiting, Performance, Learning, Succession, Workforce Management and Compensation.

In July 2013, Saba built patent pending machine learning technology into its open, standards-based talent management platform. In addition, the company has added social, mobile and machine learning capabilities that capture user preferences, likes and aspirations and then guide each person with a relevant and personalized development path.

Saba Software has had some success in Australia and it is pushing a full suite of cloud based talent management solutions to regional businesses including Blue Care, LendLease, Victoria University of Wellington (NZ), Allianz, Clayton Utz, FSA Power Networks, Foodstuffs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, ASWIG, Australian Laboratory Services and Principals Australia Institute. This year alone, Saba has seen increased market demand, adding customer across verticals including, agriculture, healthcare, banking and pharmaceuticals, including: Yellow Pages of New Zealand, Kiwi Bank, Bank of Queensland and Australian Institute of Marine Science.

In fact, to keep up with that demand, Saba expanded its Australian Data Center to include onshore backup and recovery facilities in late 2014, meeting regional business requirements. Saba operates from a regional head office in Sydney and has an office in Melbourne and staff presence in other states. Additionally, Saba is deepening its partnership with Hudson Gates to extend its holistic talent solutions for customers in the region.

In Q2 2016, Saba extended the breadth of the “intelligent” platform with the announcement of Saba Benchmark. Saba Benchmark is designed to provide a library of dashboards across key talent metrics and help organizations benchmark their talent performance against industry peers in real-time, without the lag introduced through traditional methods.
