In 2018, Alectra Utilities implemented Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne HCM as part of an EnterpriseOne 9.2 program tied to the amalgamation of four utilities in the Greater Toronto Area. The program covered the full suite of E1 modules across Finance, Supply Chain, Operations and Human Resources, with deployment scoped to the combined utility that serves more than 1,000,000 customers and employs about 1,526 staff.
The Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne HCM deployment included Core HR functionality alongside related Finance modules, with explicit delivery work on Fixed Asset and Expense Management. A Senior Financial Consultant led configuration, functional design, data conversions and end user training for those modules, and responsibilities extended through go live support and subsequent functional optimization.
Implementation required extensive data conversions and multiple interfaces to preserve transactional continuity between operational systems and EnterpriseOne, and it included process re design to align HR and finance workflows with the unified application. Operational coverage spanned HR functions, asset accounting and expense management across the merged utilities in the Greater Toronto Area.
Governance and rollout emphasized conversion sequencing, role based configuration ownership and coordinated cutover planning across finance and HR teams, with formalized training to standardize workflows across sites. The Senior Financial Consultant role centrally administered Fixed Asset and Expense Management functional designs and supported change in accounting and approval processes to fit EnterpriseOne workflows.
Go live support was provided and further optimization of functionality was completed following initial deployment, indicating stabilization and ongoing refinement of Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne HCM within Alectra Utilities. The engagement was characterized by complex conversions, extensive interfaces and cross functional process redesigns across Finance, Supply Chain, Operations and Human Resources.

| DNV | Legacy | DNV Cascade | Asset Performance Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 Alectra Utilities implemented DNV Cascade as its Asset Performance Management application to centralize condition data and formalize asset prioritization across its Ontario substation estate. The deployment targeted field staff and asset management teams, giving operational users a single application for condition monitoring, inspection records and work prioritization across substation assets in the Golden Horseshoe service area.
The implementation extended DNV Cascade with a sensor ingestion framework and the Cascade Connect application, feeding telemetry into the Cascade Algorithm Rules Engine to enable condition-based maintenance. Functional capabilities configured included time-based and trigger-based inspections, failure event capture, timekeeping for labor justification, and a criticality health and risk model used to rank and prioritize maintenance work.
Integrations focused on the direct flow of sensor and inspection data into DNV Cascade, creating a centralized, secure dataset for substation equipment. Cascade was used to generate structured reports for auditors and insurance stakeholders, and to provide forecasting inputs for workload planning, preserving longitudinal asset histories and compliance evidence.
Governance and process changes included establishing a new framework for sensor deployment, formalizing condition assessment workflows, and shifting maintenance scheduling from ad hoc practice to risk and health driven prioritization. Reported outcomes from the deployment include improved situational awareness across field and asset teams, lowered costs through risk-based inspection management, improved reliability and increased uptime of assets, and enhanced forecasting and compliance reporting capabilities.
