To complement this growth, the company embarked on a digital HR transformation journey and maintained a strong talent management and succession planning program.

It is awarded to a customer of SAP SuccessFactors solutions that exemplifies a unique and innovative solution in the field of HR.
Outcome and Implications
The END Fund is the only private philanthropic initiative dedicated solely to ending the most common neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), which affect more than 1.5 billion of the world’s most impoverished people, including 836 million children. The END Fund engages a community of philanthropists, manages high-impact strategic investments and works in collaboration with government, NGO, pharmaceutical and academic partners to take a systems approach to understand, engaging with and influencing the broad ecosystem of stakeholders working to end NTDs. The global organization primarily works in African nations, as well as Yemen, Afghanistan, and India.
Additionally, Teva’s first step in the transformation was centralizing all HR information for 57,000 employees on one system using SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. This gives every HR professional and line manager complete visibility into each employee’s history, position, performance, benefits, and compensation, as well as reporting lines. With full data transparency, it’s easier for managers to identify top performers across the company, including those from acquisitions.
They can make development plans or pursue other strategies to help integrate new employees, all the while keeping people engaged and productive in a fast-changing workplace. Markus, who is sharing Teva’s experiences at HR Tech Amsterdam, said that these changes have directly influenced staff retention and succession planning for the better.
Teva also used SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals to create one unified performance management system. Called CONNECT, it was designed together with the business as a holistic tool for both employees and managers.
