Outcome and Implications
Implementation of S/4HANA, hosted on Amazon Web Services started in March of 2017 and went live in April od 2018.
Implementation for SuccessFactors EmployeeCentral and LMS took over from an on-premise HR system, went live in December of 2017.
The implementation of SAP Concur and SAP Ariba followed with implementation right after the S/4 HANA went live.
To evolve its strong position in the market, the company started a program to improve visibility across the business and were transforming its operations with real-time analytics solutions from SAP, specifically SAP Digital Boardroom and SAP Business Warehouse.
This project started with implementation during the 2Q of 2017 and was expected to go live by the end of the same year.
With more than half its 1500 employees being field-based, going cloud and having mobile access to applications will make a big difference.
"I know this is controversial, but I think there’s actually not much difference between the needs of millennials and the needs of older people these days. If you look at the home experience, everybody has the internet, most people have a smartphone, most people know how to use an iPad. Being able to log on and do whatever they need to do, it’s all very intuitive." - said Tom Pollock, Head of Information Management.
