About the Customer
Pratt is America's 5th largest corrugated packaging company and the world's largest, privately-held 100% recycled paper and packaging company, with more than 6000 highly-skilled, green-collar employees dedicated to the environment and sustainability.
Scope and Challenges
Because Pratt industries is a major corrugator paper manufacturer of integrated recycled materials to create corrugated boxes currently, they have enough capacity receivables to build another plant they've created an enormous amount of data, but they really had no way to analyze the data. SAP's analytics cloud was the best solution for hem they found that it was user-friendly, easy to get going, and very very robust in many of its features.
It's it's ready to go when you are, and the data, and the interface, is so intuitive that anybody can use it. The analytics cloud toolset is flexible intuitive and gives everybody who can use it an opportunity to develop something very special and unique to them.
Outcome and Implications
With SAP Analytics Cloud as their analytics and planning solution, Pratt Industries is running faster by producing interactive and meaningful organizational reporting in a fraction of the time.
Additionally, Pratt has run SAP BW in HANA for a number of years to handle data warehousing and, four years ago, it implemented SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) for management reporting and for reporting to bondholders and outside interests, but Filreis knew that more was needed for reporting.
Quotes
"With SAP analytics cloud Pratt Industries will be able to run faster and incorporate all of the data across our various SAP and other systems from ECC to VW to be PC in a much more efficient way to generate business knowledge wisdom and insight."
"By managing our data and master data at a single source, we can provide consistent reporting throughout the enterprise. This promotes reliable management reporting and better customer service. SAP BPC running on HANA was the obvious choice. Integrated with SAP ECC, BPC shows current actual balances." -said Stephen Filreis, Director of SAP Program Management Office at Pratt Industries.
