GHX Market Opportunities, M&A and Geo Expansions
Global Healthcare Exchange secured an investment of around $500m from Warburg Pincus, a global growth investor. As part of this transaction, minority investor Thoma Bravo has exited its investment. Existing investor Temasek, an investment company headquartered in Singapore, will remain the majority equity holder, and both Temasek and GHX are supportive of the investment by Warburg Pincus. The investment will help GHX further deliver on customer priorities such as Cloud ERP, advanced automation, predictive analytics, and value-based care, and will help the company further invest and innovate in the areas that will be transformative for healthcare.
With the acquistion of Medical Columbus AG, GHX is broadening a global trading partner network in Europe that will benefit multi-national suppliers and local European provider customers alike to deliver cost and process efficiencies and it bolsters GHX’s European supply chain and procurement products portfolio to deliver even greater efficiency and value to healthcare providers, suppliers, and group purchasing organizations (GPOs).
