In September 2019, Verizon Connect launched a new immobilization tool for its Verizon Connect Reveal, helping fleets prevent unauthorized use of vehicles and aid in the recovery of stolen vehicles. The same month it launched a dispatch solution for field service fleets that integrates with its Reveal cloud-based telematics platform. Field Service Dispatch brings vehicle location data together with technician status updates to help fleet managers improve dispatching and scheduling.

In July 2019, Verizon Connect launched the Navigation Mobile App for Verizon Connect Reveal. The company expects the new app will have a positive impact on fleet and driver efficiency.

Verizon Connect Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Activities

In 2016, Verizion Connect acquired Fleetmatics Group, a global provider of fleet and mobile workforce management solutions. The deal made Fleetmatics a part of Verizon Telematics, a subsidiary of the telco that focuses on fleet management, mobile workforce solutions and IoT.
