Access Group Strengths, Domain Expertise, and Key Differentiators
With more than 20 years experience in helping organizations improve their HR, talent management and payroll processes, Access Group offers HR, talent, payroll and recruitment software.
Access Group Recent Developments
In April 2021 Access launched its new legal software division, Access Legal, promising to help the UK’s most ambitious law firms achieve their potential through a powerful suite of technology. The launch follows the acquisitions of case and practice management providers Eclipse Legal Systems and DPS Software in 2020, as well as The Access Group’s previous acquisitions of legal online training, compliance, and risk management solution providers Riliance and Socrates.
In 2020, Access Group has responded to the Covid-19 pandemic with the launch of a new cloud-based CRM to help smaller charities function remotely. Access NFP CRM is designed to help charities manage service delivery, fundraising, and communications as they navigate the challenges presented by Covid-19. The Access Group‘s Access NFP CRM can be up and running within days, and, like a CRM, the system removes the need for spreadsheets and time spent on emailing and admin tasks. Being cloud-based, teams can securely and remotely access the information they need at any time, making collaboration easier, and freeing up time for charities to focus on their key objectives.
The Access Group acquired CoreHR, a UK and Ireland market leader in HR and Payroll software for Mid-Market & Enterprise level businesses. Combined with Access’s existing market presence it will become the HR and Payroll leader in the UK and Ireland markets, with the capabilities to support organizations of any size, with all their HR and Payroll needs.
Access Group has fast become a major player in the recruitment software market as it launches a new redesign version of its flagship CRM, Access RDB, a system that aims to address the productivity challenge, improve efficiency, facilitate collaborative working environments and give recruitment consultants time back to focus on clients, candidates and business growth. With over 500 consultants identifying updating CRM systems as a major drain on resources, as well as a wasted two hours per week on abortive client calls, not to mention meeting substandard candidates, the sector is clearly in need of more advanced software.
Access Group Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Activities
During the fiscal year 2021 The Access Group completed 18 acquisitions which have contributed to the company’s accelerated growth. These included “HAS Technology” in Health & Social Care; “My School Portal” in the independent Education sector; “Eazipay” has been added as a fundamental element to Access PaySuite; “EasyBuild”, “Ezitracker” and “Unleashed” support the growing ERP business in the UK, EU, Australia and New Zealand. “Acteol” expanded the Access Hospitality offering by bringing CRM and managed services capabilities, and “CPL Learning” added industry-leading learning and development solutions at a critical time for the hospitality and retail sectors.
Access acquired DPS Software (DPS), a UK leader in SaaS-based Practice Management software for Legal Practices and In-House Legal departments, with a focus on firms with between 10 and 200 employees. The addition of DPS will deliver a suite of solutions that cover a vast array of legal processes and will target practices with between 10 and 500 employees. Combined with Access’s existing market presence is now one of the top 3, UK based providers of software, to the UK legal sector.
Access Group acquired eLearning For You. The addition of eLearning For You to the Access Health & Social Care division, soon after the acquisition of Webroster earlier this month, provides Access with the most comprehensive set of solutions in the Health & Social Care sector, from a single provider.
Access Group acquired Riliance. The acquisition of Riliance, with revenues of over £3m, is a testament to Access’ commitment to the mid-market and demonstrates its dedication to continually adding solutions of value to its Access Workspace suite. With investment from Access, the Riliance solutions will strengthen their position in the Legal and Financial Services sector and grow specific offerings for other sectors including Education and Charities where Access already has a significant presence in the market.
Access Group acquired Safety Media Ltd, the UK’s market leader in Health & Safety e-learning and risk management & compliance workflow solutions. After the acquisitions of Unicorn Training, Socrates and Reliance, Access sees the addition of Safety Media to its Digital Learning and Compliance Division, as yet further confirmation of its intent to be the solution provider of choice to the UK’s thousands of mid-market and growing businesses.
Access Group acquired Mintsoft Ltd. Access already has solutions that deliver for specific segments of the market and the addition of Mintsoft will broaden the scope to additional markets, in particular for those businesses involved in dealing with the rapid growth of e-commerce in their industries. More and more Manufacturers, Multi-Channel Retailers, Logistics Service Providers, and 3PLs are looking to benefit from more modern and automated order and warehouse management processes to increase fulfillment accuracy, while at the same time significantly reducing pick times and costly returns.
The Access Group acquired Webroster, a provider of software for the care industry. Access is one of the UK’s fastest-growing software companies with a customer-centric culture and a strong track record of providing an extensive software portfolio through its Access Workspace platform. The combination of Access and Webroster will cement Access as the clear leader in the UK’s Health & Social Care software market.
In 2020, Access Group acquired Eclipse Legal Systems. The acquisition will enhance Access’s existing presence in the legal sector, which currently extends beyond 2,500 organizations with the vast majority in legal practice and the remaining customers being internal legal departments, across multiple verticals.
