Acquia Strengths

Acquia is the digital experience company that sells software and services for Web publishers and e-commerce businesses.

Acquia main offerings are its open cloud platform, developer tools and support for Drupal, the open source content management platform that unifies content, community and commerce.

Acquia uses AWS in a variety of ways, such as managing and provisioning the IT infrastructure necessary to host its customers’ websites and web applications. In June 2014, Acquia announced the availability of Acquia Campaign Cloud, a SaaS solution that enables agencies and brand managers to deliver personalized, extraordinary campaign experiences faster and at substantially lower cost than alternatives like Adobe Marketing Cloud. In November 2014, Acquia introduced Acquia Lift ContextDB, the latest addition to its suite of Digital Engagement Services for the optimization of digital experiences.

ContextDB is a cloud-based, open data warehouse that collects and consolidates customer intelligence and behavior at massive scale across channels and existing data repositories. Acquia's govCMS marked its first full year of operation with more than double the number of government agencies and institutions participating than initially estimated.

Entering its second year, govCMS today supports 58 government sites for 28 agencies, including the Department of Human Services, Australian Taxation Office, Department of Social Services, Department of Communications, the Australian Financial Security Authority, the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority, and more.

In September 2015, Acquia expanded Europe operations with the opening of its new Munich office and the launch of its Frankfurt data center.

With data centers now located in Germany, Ireland, and eight other regions around the globe, Acquia is the only Drupal platform service provider to offer pan-European support for high availability sites that accommodate EU data sovereignty requirements.
