Dalet Recent Developments
In 2019, Dalet integrated with Interra Systems’ BATON platform to include the Ooyala Flex Media Platform. The expanded technology partnership enables Dalet Galaxy five and Ooyala Flex Media Platform customers to deploy advanced automated quality assurance and compliance workflows.
In October 2018, JKN Global Media PCL Thailand invested in Dalet for media management transformation. The investment, specifically was for Dalet Galaxy five Media Asset Management (MAM) and Workflow Orchestration platform to optimize content production and delivery across traditional, OTT and social media distribution outlets.
In April 2019, Dalet Galaxy five and Adobe Audition enabled audio production collaboration. The integration includes support for session management, including the ability to search and browse the categories of the Dalet Galaxy five content catalog. The same month, Dalet rolled out the newest version of the Dalet Media Cortex Saas platform empowered with Artificial Intelligence (AI). This version offers automatic metadata generation with a range of cognitive services, automatic captions creation, and the first generation of smart assistants that provides content discovery, insights and contextual recommendations to creatives and editorial users within their productions.
The vendor also revealed a new product, Dalet Remote Editing framework. It is a scalable framework that brings the full-featured multimedia editing capabilities and speed to the editors working in the field or at remote offices without requiring a PAM/MAM at every location.
Dalet Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Activities
In 2019, Dalet acquired the Ooyala Flex Media Platform business. The asset deal includes the Ooyala Flex Media Platform, as well as Ooyala personnel across sales, marketing, engineering, professional services, and support. The Ooyala Flex Media Platform, which is primarily sold as a subscription/SaaS offering, is a perfect solution for servicing OTT and digital media distribution workflows. The acquisition of these assets, personnel, and customers will expand the Dalet solutions offering to more verticals and tiers beyond its traditional customer base in News and Production workflows, and accelerate Dalet's strategic move to increase recurring revenue models, with a subscription/SaaS-based services offering.
Dalet Digital Media Systems acquired AmberFin, a UK-based company that specializes in video ingest, complex media manipulation, transcoding, and quality control (QC) solutions. The acquisition broadened the Dalet product offerings, which are built around an open, IT-centric technology framework.

In March 2018, Dalet Introduced Dalet Galaxy five at NAB 2018. The new version of the media asset management and workflow orchestration platform brings a number of important functional enhancements and three major technology innovations that augment media operations and enable new forward-thinking business models.
The first enables broadcasters and media organizations to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the workflow, the second leverages hybrid infrastructures with on-premises and Cloud deployments, the third puts social media at the core of the operations. Furthermore in October, leading free-to-air Argentine network Telefe is to drive an expansive multiplatform workflow with the Dalet Galaxy five Media Asset Management (MAM) and Orchestration platform.

An extension of the Dalet Galaxy five MAM, NRCS and Workflow Orchestration platform, Dalet OnePlay is a new-generation studio automation solution designed to modernize live productions, increase audience engagement and open up new revenue opportunities while optimizing operational costs and reliability.
Dalet OnePlay was designed to be the perfect complement for show production, making it an ideal solution for newscasts, sports magazines, life, and live-to-tape studio shows.
