In September 2021, Egnyte introduce new solution for clinical trial operations. Egnyte for Life Sciences eTMF, a new product to manage trial master file data for the clinical development functions at life sciences companies. Egnyte for Life Sciences eTMF is a 21 CFR Part 11 compliant solution that reduces document processing time while maintaining compliance and audit readiness.
With Egnyte for Life Sciences eTMF, clinical development professionals can easily create an eTMF to manage the thousands of documents collected through a trial and ensure those documents are properly stored and managed so they’re audit-ready. The product can also apply automation and artificial intelligence to monitor is misindexed documents and sensitive personal information and to protect against potential ransomware attacks.
In April 2021, Egnyte made new integrations with Microsoft aimed at helping mid-sized organizations prevent data loss, address a growing number of regional privacy regulations, and simplify the overall management of content, with minimal administrative overhead.
Egnyte is also publishing the general availability of a new Public Cloud Connector to synchronize selected files between Egnyte and Microsoft Azure object storage. Previously in closed beta, this connector is being used in live deployments to support virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments, cloud data processing, cloud archiving, and more.
In February 2021, Egnyte made a released of Egnyte for Construction and Engineering, a new platform to help construction and engineering (C&E) firms increase project efficiencies while also enabling a variety of cloud-first processes and experiences for clients, partners and employees.
In February 2020, Egnyte launched its next-generation content services platform, delivering a unified approach to content governance, privacy, compliance, and workflow automation for today’s digital businesses. In September 2021, Truyo, the leader in truly automated consent and data privacy rights management, and Egnyte made a partnership that will allow organizations to discover and access all structured and unstructured data to automate the entire subject access request (SAR) process — solving one of the biggest obstacles organizations face in consent and privacy management.
In May 2021, Egnyte made new integrations with Google Workspace and Dropbox to help companies secure and govern their sensitive cloud content. The integrations enable companies’ Google and Dropbox users to apply Egnyte’s platform to locate their valuable content in each cloud solution and control risks via a unified, turnkey approach. By applying Egnyte’s policy library and advanced machine learning, customers can identify files with inappropriate levels of permission, flag unusual download or sharing activity that might be indicative of an insider threat, and locate compliance violations – all through a “single pane of glass.”
Over the past few years, Egnyte has diversified its offerings beyond data storage. In 2018, it added a document protection product called Egnyte Protect. In keeping with the compliance requirements, it recently announced a new GDPR policy to add to Egnyte Protect. In 2019, Egnyte also entered into a tie-up with SAP to expand the reach of its product. As part of the agreement, SAP will add Egnyte powered document management capabilities to the SAP Cloud Software suite.

As part of its growth strategy in 2021, Egnyte appointed Suzanne M. Colvin as Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Egnyte, Ms Colvin spent six years at Napster, Inc. where she was promoted to Chief Financial Officer after holding various finance leadership roles. Ms Colvin also spent nine years at Verifone, most recently as VP Corporate Controller & Chief Accountant. In July 2021, Egnyte appointed Stan Hansen as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

Earlier in his career, Jeff was the CFO at ProfitLogic, Inc., and a variety of enterprise software and hardware technology companies, including Torrent Systems, Beyond Incorporated, and Magna Computer Corporation.
