Gtreasury Strengths, Domain Expertise, and Key Differentiators
With a loyal base of customers in the industrial heartland of the United States, GTreasury has been helping scores of key accounts automate their cash management business processes.
Since 1986 GTreasury, formerly known as Gateway Systems, has co-developed treasury workstations with clients such as General Electric, Hydro Quebec, Wendy’s/Arby’s Group, SABIC Innovative Plastics, Prudential Financial, Barnes and Noble, and Bank of America.
Different divisions of GE, for instance, have been working under a long-term agreement with GTreasury for ongoing development and customer support, which helps the vendor extend and enhance the product functionality to other customers that have similar needs as GE.
Co-development modules cover such areas as Balance Reporting, Funds Transfer, General Ledger Interfacing, Investments, Debt, Forecasting, and FX Transactions. It also works closely with major banks on balance reporting, account analysis, and funds transfer issues.
GTreasury’s solution focuses on illuminating a treasury’s liquidity by centralizing all incoming and outgoing banking activities, along with tracking all financial instrument activities, thereby granting GTreasury practitioners real-time insight and access into their global liquidity.
Gtreasury Recent Developments
In October 2017, GTreasury received a $42 million investment from Mainsail Partners, a growth equity firm that exclusively invests in profitable, fast-growing technology companies. GTreasury will use the new capital and Mainsail’s extensive resources to accelerate product development, expand internationally, and enhance GTreasury’s customer service.
Gtreasury Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Activities
In April 2018, GTreasury acquired Visual Risk, an Australian-based risk management and compliance software vendor. The intent behind this move is to combine GTreasury's cash management software with Visual Risk's analytics and hedge accounting software, creating a comprehensive treasury and risk management software.
Combined, the technologies will provide treasury departments with a more complete solution available for managing global liquidity and financial risk.

Gtreasury Market Opportunities, M&A and Geo Expansions
After the acquisition of the Sydney-based Visual Risk, a provider of the region’s leading risk management solution, which like GTreasury, was built on the Microsoft technology stack, GTreasury now offers any combination of Cash Management, Payments, Financial Instruments, Accounting, Banking, Risk Management, and Hedge Accounting in one SaaS solution.
GTreasury has announced that the first corporate treasury clients to use both cash and risk capabilities on GTreasury’s new single SaaS solution for treasury and risk management are now live. GTreasury selected key clients from North America, EMEA and APAC to take part in the BETA testing of its integrated treasury and risk functionality.
Gtreasury Risks and Challenges
GTreasury is in the midst of redrawing its product roadmap by embracing Cloud technologies such as SuiteCloud from NetSuite, while making a concerted effort to build a world-class reporting tool using Microsoft's SQL Server Reporting Service.
Such moves are expected to have considerable impact on its product direction, transforming GTreasury from an on-premise vendor with robust Web applications into a hybrid model capable of addressing both Cloud and traditional software implementation requirements.
The issue is whether GTreasury plans to shore up its internal system to support the hybrid model or if it intends to accelerate the transition in order to optimize the economy of scale of operating solely in a Cloud environment.
Gtreasury Ecosystem, Partners, Resellers and SI
GTreasury primarily sells direct, but it also joint markets its treasury management applications with Emphasys into public sector agencies, NetSuite for professional services customers and Silktrax Systems, its SI partner in Indonesia, for customers in Asia.
In September 2017, GTreasury opened their West End, London office at 1 Neal Street. This move gives GTreasury both an expanded presence in Europe for the servicing of its new and existing treasury management customers and a foundation for greater support, service and future growth.
The London based GTreasury team included new additions such as Terry Beadle, as Global Head of Corporate Development, and Christopher Seaman, as EMEA Managing Director.
