Haufe Strengths, Domain Expertise, and Key Differentiators

The Haufe Group stands for management that puts the staff at the center of corporate thinking and behavior. All services and solutions have the objective of enabling staff to contribute to the success of the company with their knowledge and capabilities. The umantis Talent Management software allows employees to play an active part in shaping their development in the company. This web-based solution maps all processes associated with the life-cycle of a staff member - from recruitment through performance management and personnel development, and all the way through to successor planning and onboarding. umantis Talent Management supports hierarchically organized companies and at the same time allows autonomous behavior by teams and staff. With this bottom-up approach, Haufe is one of the few suppliers in the market for talent management software that promotes both the efficiency and excellence of organizations as well as new, agile corporate structures. Based on this realization, Haufe has developed a model to improve the understanding of organizations and their challenges - and to develop corresponding solutions: The 'Haufe Quadrant' which depicts the interaction between the two decisive parameters of any company - the people and the organizational structure. In the future, companies will need a sustainable “operating system” with several organizational models that is adequate for all staff needs and all organizational designs.

In 2016 Haufe launched its new success-based Success-as-a-Service consulting concept. Whether in the area of agility, digitization, organizational design, transformation or talent management, Haufe only regards a project as successful when the company verifiably and sustainably profits from the solution implemented. This conviction permeates all activities and is the underlying philosophy for a unique integrated portfolio of software, contents, training and consultancy.

The umantis Talent Management, which is now sold under the Haufe brand, has modules for recruitment, performance management, competency and succession planning. The entire suite can be hosted in a private cloud or in on-premise servers with readily available interfaces with leading ERPs such as SAP, ADP, P&I, abacus, Navision, and others. In the second quarter of 2013, over 30 companies from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland opted for the umantis Talent Management software solution. In addition to other DAX- and ATX-listed companies, such as the Austrian oil and gas group OMV, Haufe succeeded in winning over other globally operating conglomerates such as Diehl, as well as the insurance group LVM and the Vivantes hospital organization. Olympus Europa SE&Co.KG, an optical product company, recently chose umantis Talent Management because of its interface to SAP ERP.
