In November 2021, Informatica announced the Cloud Data Marketplace, designed to intuitively increase data sharing, improve productivity and enable organizations to make more informed decisions. Also, in November 2021, Informatica at Microsoft IGNITE, announced a joint Modern Cloud Analytics program with Microsoft Azure to provide customers with one of the fastest, lowest cost, lowest risk paths to modernize PowerCenter ETL and on-premises data warehouses to Informatica’s Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) on Azure and Azure Synapse Analytics. In October 2021, Informatica announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 29,000,000 shares of its Class A common stock at a public offering price of $29.00 per share. The shares are expected to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange on October 27, 2021, under the ticker symbol “INFA” and the offering is expected to close on October 29, 2021, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions. In addition, the underwriters have been granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 4,350,000 shares of Informatica Class A common stock at the initial public offering price, less underwriting discounts and commissions.
In July 2021, Informatica has launched its Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) the industry’s first end-to-end AI-powered cloud platform service available on Microsoft Azure Southeast Asia region for Asia Pacific customers, as part of the company’s efforts in doubling down on cloud business growth in the region. The extenshion od the Informatica - Google partnership comes after prevoisly Informatica started a partnership with Google Cloud, which included extended support for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with a cloud-native offering, enhanced connectivity, and optimized execution to accelerate cloud data warehousing, marketing data lakes, and machine learning-based analytics initiatives.
In December 2019, Informatica extended the relationship with AWS. New Data Engineering, Data Lake, and Enterprise Data Warehouse Solutions from Informatica are now available on AWS. The new product capabilities , including Amazon Redshift, Amazon EMR, and AWS Glue are designed to help customers minimize the cost and complexity of cloud modernization initiatives.
