The acquisition builds on insightsoftware’s strategy to offer a comprehensive portfolio of solutions for the Office of the CFO that simplifies, automates, and increasingly visualizes financial processes, such as reporting, planning, budgeting, and tax management. insightsoftware customers will benefit from the ability to instantly transform live enterprise data from ERP and EPM systems into sophisticated Excel and PowerPoint charts.

In May 2019, InsightSoftware acquired Jet Global Data Technologies, the market leader in reporting, analytics, and budgeting solutions for Microsoft Dynamics. The acquisition builds on Insightsoftwares strategy to deliver a broad portfolio of market-leading reporting platforms that allow organizations of any size to easily access and distribute meaningful financial and operational data. In particular, it strengthens Insightsoftwares advanced Excel-based reporting capabilities, designed specifically for users of Microsoft Dynamics, which is ranked among the worlds top six ERP reporting platforms and growing rapidly. In June 2018, TA Associates made the acquisition and combination of Global Software and Insightsoftware International, two ERP reporting and corporate performance management software companies. Insightsoftware Market Opportunities, M&A and Geo Expansions

In July 2021, insightsoftware attracts $1bn strategic investment from Hg to continue to scale as a platform and leader in financial reporting and EPM software. The Hg Saturn 2 Fund will make a c.$1 billion equity investment in insightsoftware to become a significant minority shareholder alongside TA Associates (“TA”) in a transaction valuing the business at an Enterprise Value of around $4 billion. TA and Hg will share joint control. As part of the transaction, insightsoftware will also continue to be supported by minority shareholders Genstar and ST6.

In September 2019, insightsoftware acquired a Sweden-based business performance management provider Bizview Systems. The acquisition marks insightsoftware’s entry into the Scandinavian market and will bring a wider range of budgeting and reporting capabilities to customers around the globe. With offices across Sweden and Norway, Bizview has thousands of customers of all sizes within a wide variety of industries.
