In December 2019, One Concern made three important senior leadership hires. One Concern has hired William Atkins as Chief Financial Officer, Ojas Rege as Chief Product Officer, and Hitoshi Akimoto as Japan Country Manager.
In November 2018, One Concern announced the launch of its Flood Concern solution. Representing a significant expansion of the company's holistic, AI-powered resilience platform, Flood Concern empowers leaders in both the public and private sector with dynamic, hyperlocal predictions. Through the combination of hydrological and hydrodynamic models, along with machine learning, Flood Concern predicts inundation and impact levels up to five days in advance, allowing leaders to better prepare for, respond to, recover from and mitigate the impact of severe riverine flooding.
In May 2018, One Concern launched digital anthropology initiative. One Concern aims to build an entire ecosystem of resilience around cities. Although One Concern started by contracting with city governments, its platform is now working to incorporate financial service providers, large corporate employers, and citizen leaders.
In 2017, One Concern raised $20 million in funding round. The funding will be used for research and development as One Concern expands its use of machine learning to predict and mitigate the impact of natural disasters like fires, floods, and hurricanes after they happen.
