Following considerable uplifts in both SaaS and perpetual license revenue from the prior year, Symphony RetailAI is focusing on acceleration of its go-to-market capabilities with the appointment of two new executive team members who will report into its newly named Chief Revenue Officer. Symphony RetailAI realized total revenue growth of 19% in Q4 2020 compared to Q4 2019. The company’s growth for 2020 yielded a SaaS revenue increase of 65% and perpetual license revenue growth of 76% when compared to 2019. This most recent agreement is part of an on-going strategic collaboration between Symphony RetailAI and Carrefour. In the past year, the company added more than 125 new customers, expanded and renewed relationships with over 100 current clients, and opened extra offices in India and the UK to support the rapid growth.

In May 2019, Symphony RetailAI made a global strategic alliance with Zebra Technologies, an innovator at the edge of the enterprise with solutions that enable businesses to gain a performance edge. Symphony RetailAI Risks and Challenges
In January 2020, Symphony RetailAI appointed Chris Koziol as CEO and a member of the company’s board of directors. Dr. Pallab Chatterjee, who previously served as CEO, has retired after a long career in technology, including several years at Symphony Technology Group.
Symphony EYC is taking the vertically integrated concept further by delivering an extended product portfolio to customers in retail, distribution and other verticals. The issue is whether the approach is going to resonate with the target audience primarily in the retail vertical. Another question has to do with its owner Symphony's grand vision for some of its recently acquired assets and if it will combine them to drive the economy of scale.
Meanwhile, Symphony EYC has embarked on a new initiative combining Big Data analytics with its software that presumably is going to run on the Exadata platform from Oracle. Though these experiments have not set the retail vertical on fire, it's just a matter of time before these ingredients trigger the combustion needed to get the company moving again.
