In May 2021, Trayport acquired Tradesignal, a of rule-based energy trading and analysis solutions. Tradesignal provides traders, portfolio managers and analysts the capabilities to develop, test and optimise multiple trading strategies, including short-term intraday modelling to yearly portfolio basket based approaches.
TMX Group completed the acquisition of Trayport for $704m. In conjunction with the Trayport Acquisition, TMX Group has completed the sale of Natural Gas Exchange Inc. and Shorcan Energy Brokers Inc. to ICE. The sale of NGX and Shorcan Energy was used as partial consideration by TMX Group for the Trayport Acquisition.
