Through its international expansion, Yardi is banking on strong acceptance of its Voyage 7S Cloud applications, which attracted more than 1,700 customers. Voyager 7S is deployed as software- as-a-service with three options: SaaS, in which updates are automatically applied; SaaS Select, in which the client determines when to apply updates; and Private Cloud, in which clients have their own dedicated network. In the real-estate applications market, the long-running battle between Yardi and RealPage reached a boiling point in early 2011 when Yardi filed a lawsuit alleging that RealPage had gained unauthorized access to Yardi's computer systems. The suit was settled in June 2012 when both sides agreed to grant each other perpetual licenses and rights to substantially expanded interface, as well as full integration between RealPage and Yardi applications. Another element in the settlement allowed RealPage to continue providing hosting services for Yardi software for current clients through 2017.
