In September 2021, Zellis unveiled the third series of improvements to its award-winning Zellis HCM Cloud platform. This update cycle delivers on the company’s promise to introduce new features and capabilities to its HCM and Payroll products, including leveraging the platform’s modern and flexible design with new and enhanced integrations with strategic technology partners.
In June 2020 Zellis set a new agreement to use Microsoft cloud, data, and AI technologies to build a Human Capital Management solution. Through this agreement, Zellis aims to provide the most modern solution in the market – one which delivers on the company's missions to create superior employee experiences, while supporting organizations to achieve their digital transformation goals, including process optimization, reduction of costs, and more intelligent use of data.
The agreement will also allow customers to take advantage of value-adding integration opportunities between Zellis solutions and solutions within the wider Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and third-party applications. Connectors will allow customers to significantly improve productivity through stronger interaction, automation, and data sharing.
In January 2019, NGA HR UK & Ireland has rebranded itself as Zellis after being spun off from former parent company NGA Human Resources in February 2018 and sold to a global investment firm, Bain Capital. The company replaced former chief executive Jonathan Legdon, who had been with the company for 16 years, with former BT executive John Petter in July last year. But the rebranding exercise has taken it nearly a year.

In September 2019, Zellis has released of ResourceLink 23, its Payroll and HR software. Formerly NGA UK, Zellis rebranded itself earlier this year following its acquisition by Bain Capital in 2018.
