Zywave Recent Developments
In October 2021, Zywave added Cyber OverVue to its Analytics Cloud. Originally created by Advisen, one of Zywave’s acquired companies, Cyber OverVue produces a holistic view of any organization’s cyber risk profile, projects potential cyber loss scenarios and forecasts their consequences. Cyber OverVue leverages these 100,000+ cyber loss cases, spanning breaches, phishing, network disruption, ransomware and more. Insurance brokers can now strategically engage insureds about potential cyber exposures and the resulting financial impact an event could have on their business. The new Zywave-enhanced release of Cyber OverVue grows cyber risk advising capabilities while also improving user experience by integrating with all of Zywave’s capabilities delivered in the Zywave Cloud. A thorough executive summary, improved severity analysis, cyber loss simulations and expanded limit adequacy analyses are all included in this upgrade. Since acquiring Advisen in November 2020, Cyber OverVue is the first of many innovative Advisen solutions that Zywave plans to migrate into its cloud platform.

Zywave Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Activities
In June 2021, Zywave acquired IBQ Systems (IBQ), an insurtech leader in personal lines comparative rating. The acquisition significantly expands Zywave’s inventory of carriers, and combined with Zywave’s existing personal lines comparative rater, TurboRater, will deliver the market-leading solution to independent agents offering personal lines. The combined solution will further enable users to help their customers quickly and easily identify the coverage they need for the best price.
In May 2021, Zywave acquired Modgic, a provider of workers’ comp and mod analysis software for the commercial insurance industry. Combined with Zywave’s existing commercial solutions, the acquisition strengthens Zywave’s portfolio of offerings in that market.
In April 2021, Zywave acquired Enquiron, the Boston-based provider of risk management and consultative business solutions. Zywave will leverage Enquiron’s proprietary service offering to further enhance its existing customer experience and further expand upon its risk management solutions.
In November 2020, Clearlake Capital Group has completed its acquisition of Zywave and has also acquired Advisen, further establishing the new platform as the leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider of front office insurance solutions. Aurora Capital Partners, previously the majority owner of Zywave, is investing alongside Clearlake in the transaction.
In November 2020, Zywave acquired Insurance Technologies Corporation (ITC) and its signature TurboRater, an online personal lines rater that enables agents to automatically receive multiple carrier quotes instantly, powering more than 30 million unique quotes per year.
