Leveraging AWS infrastructure, it enhances Cadence's IP portfolio and aligns with its Intelligent System Design™ strategy, delivering productivity and scalability benefits.
In October 2021, Cadence Design Systems, Inc., released Cadence® Integrity™ 3D-IC platform, the industry’s first comprehensive, high-capacity 3D-IC platform that integrates 3D design planning, implementation and system analysis in a single, unified cockpit. The Integrity 3D-IC platform underpins Cadence’s third-generation 3D-IC solution, providing customers with system-driven power, performance and area (PPA) for individual chiplets through integrated thermal, power and static timing analysis capabilities.
In August 2020 Cadence Design Systems introduced the Cadence XceliumTM Logic Simulator, enhanced with machine learning technology (ML), called Xcelium ML, to increase verification throughput. Using new machine learning technology and core computational software, Xcelium ML enables up to 5X faster verification closure on randomized regressions.
Using computational software and a proprietary machine learning technology that directly interfaces to the simulation kernel, Xcelium ML learns iteratively over an entire simulation regression. It analyzes patterns hidden in the verification environment and guides the Xcelium randomization kernel on subsequent regression runs to achieve matching coverage with reduced simulation cycles.
Cadence’s Xcelium Logic Simulator provides best-in-class core engine performance for SystemVerilog, VHDL, mixed-signal, low power, and x-propagation. It supports both single-core and multi-core simulation, incremental and parallel build, and save/restart with dynamic test reload. The Xcelium Logic Simulator has been deployed by a majority of top semiconductor companies, and a majority of top companies in the hyper-scale, automotive, and consumer electronics segments.
Cadence strategy is called System Design Enablement (“SDE”), which provides the technologies necessary for their customers to develop a complete and functional electronic product. Cadence SDE strategy enables one to address the growing trends of electronic systems companies developing their own ICs as part of their end product systems, as well as semiconductor companies delivering greater portions of the systems into which their IC products are integrated.
Cadence was the first major electronic design automation (EDA) company to register with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network. The Amazon Partner Network (APN) recognizes technology and professional services firms that are working to enable their customers, partners, and industries in the cloud.
Cadence is currently recognized as an Advanced Technology Partner. As a Microsoft Partner, Cadence is positioned to help customers interested in leveraging Azure to enable engineering productivity. Through the Cloud-Hosted Design Solution, Cadence offers a fully-managed design environment powered by Azure. With Cloud Passport, customers can host cloud-ready software and a cloud-based license server in their own Azure account.
In April 2019, Cadence Design Systems launched the Cadence CloudBurst Platform for hybrid cloud environments, providing customers with fast and easy access to pre-installed Cadence design tools in a ready-to-use cloud environment built on either Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure. The new platform is the latest addition to the Cadence Cloud portfolio, and this continued innovation further advances Cadence’s leadership position in cloud-based offerings for semiconductor and electronic system design.
