ActiveState Software Recent Developments
In March 2022, ActiveState introduced the ability for JFrog Artifactory users to populate their repositories with ActiveState’s securely built open source artifacts. Developers get trustworthy, open source packages without being forced to recreate them from scratch and can now easily manage them with their other artifacts, packages, and software components hosted in JFrog Artifactory. With this additional layer of protection, enterprises can continue to shift security left without disrupting the way developers work.
In May 2020, ActiveState revealed a free early-access program for qualifying open source projects to the ActiveState Platform. The early-access program is a prelude to free access to the Platform for all qualified open-source projects. The program lets Python-based projects easily create and share smaller and more secure Python distributions for multiple operating systems using the ActiveState Platform.
