Automation Anywhere Strengths, Domain Expertise, and Key Differentiators
Automation Anywhere’s Automation 360 is the world’s only cloud-native, AI-powered RPA platform. This is a key strength because it allows customers to access the platform from anywhere in the world and scale it across the entire organization without the need for in-house installation.
Automation Anywhere Recent Developments
In October 2021, Automation Anywhere introduced Automation Anywhere for Contact Centers, a cloud-native, AI-driven automation solution that works with all contact center platforms to connect data and automate manual processes, empowering agents to become more efficient in finding, retrieving, and updating information, as well as quickly executing client transactions while reducing hold times.
In May 2021, Automation Anywhere launched the industry’s first cloud-native bot to automate electronic health records. The Epic Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) API Bot automates access to electronic health records (EHR) for the Epic Systems EHR vendor. Today, more than 90% of hospitals and medical facilities have shifted from using paper medical records to EHRs. Interoperability between legacy systems and Epic Systems’ systems is critical for patient care, quality monitoring, regulatory compliance, and minimizing redundant expenditures. During the pandemic, the bot can be used to facilitate data sharing between organizations to monitor COVID-19 vaccine delivery, supply, and demand.
Automation Anywhere Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Activities
In December 2021, Automation Anywhere acquires FortressIQ to boost process mining. With this acquisition of FortressIQ, Automation Anywhere will expand its platform with new optimization capabilities that help to identify which software-based processes in an organization can be automated.
Automation Anywhere didn't make any acquisitions in 2020 and are primarily relying on organic growth over the past year.

During the first phase of a five-year plan, IOCL has automated select key processes across departments including Finance, HR, and Inventory.
In August 2021, Automation Anywhere started a collaboration with Arab National Bank (ANB) to automate back-office processes. The RPA automation of banking processes has improved compliance, productivity, and operating costs. Automation Anywhere also announced that JSC Roytberg Clinic, Medicina, one of the oldest private medical institutions in Russia, is saving 6000 hours of manual work every year and has increased processing accuracy by nearly 100% after deploying Automation 360. The total cost savings accounted after deploying intelligent automation is estimated to be approximately $1.2 million per year.
In May 2021, Automation Anywhere announced that TaskUs deployed the company’s cloud-native, AI-powered enterprise automation platform Automation 360 and digital assistant AARI to slash customer request handle time in half. TaskUs chose the Automation 360 platform for its ease of use and ability to instantly scale across the entire enterprise with AARI, the first digital assistant at work. AARI retrieves required customer information from various systems and delivers it to agents who now have more time to serve their customers, resulting in an increase in customer satisfaction score (CSAT) with near 100% data accuracy.
Automation Anywhere Market Opportunities, M&A and Geo Expansions
In August 2021, Automation Anywhere released global RPA impact reports that identified key growth opportunities for the company. Cloud-based Robotic Process Automation (RPA) has seen a dramatic uptick as organizations rapidly pivot to the cloud as part of their digital transformation strategies, with a more than 1,000% surge year-over-year. Five times more customers are now choosing cloud RPA over on-premises. Automation Anywhere is in an excellent position to supply this demand.
Automation Anywhere Risks and Challenges
Automation Anywhere says Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is demonstrating remarkable potential in enterprise deployments, saving thousands of hours each year and enabling people to focus on higher-value work. Getting RPA right, however, takes a well-crafted mix of people, process, and technology. Avoiding RPA project failure involves selecting a platform that can deliver along several critical dimensions. These include ease of use, ease of administration and support, having a versatile single platform, having good customer support, having a scalable solution, and having a focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Return on Investment (ROI).
Automation Anywhere Ecosystem, Partners, Resellers and SI
In August 2021, Automation Anywhere introduced a new RPA Maturity Assessment tool to simplify how automation teams, business leaders, and citizen developers adopt, deploy, and scale intelligent automation. The new maturity assessment tool provides a customized report that identifies opportunities to scale intelligent automation more quickly and effectively. It also evaluates program maturity and provides recommendations to improve RPA programs by uncovering and eliminating barriers to adoption. Automation Anywhere also introduced a powerful suite of learning and support resources for the company’s cloud-native, AI-powered Automation 360 platform.
