CloudBees Market Opportunities, M&A and Geo Expansions

In December 2021, CloudBees closed a $150 million Series F financing round at a pre-money valuation of $1 billion. The company also closed a $95 million debt facility to accelerate growth. The financing was led by client vehicles advised by Goldman Sachs Asset Management Private Credit (“Goldman Sachs Asset Management”), with new investments from funds affiliated with Morgan Stanley Private Credit (“Morgan Stanley”) and Bridgepoint Credit, along with repeat investors HSBC, Golub Capital, and Delta-v Capital.

In November 2021, CloudBees has been selected by HSBC as its software delivery platform provider, supporting the bank to provide faster, easier, and more secure banking to its 40 million customers. With CloudBees, the international bank will establish a unified end-to-end system of record for deploying software into production.

In May 2022, CloudBees unveiled the integration of CloudBees CI with the Air Force’s Platform One Big Bang DevSecOps platform. The new integration introduces freedom of choice for the CI tooling users can run within the platform. The integration of CloudBees CI with this Department of Defense (DoD) accredited platform will also reduce the amount of configuration required for DoD programs that want to use CloudBees CI, increase the speed of software accreditation, and reduce the burden on security teams, likely increasing adoption rates for Platform One.

In September 2021, CloudBees and a provider of expertise and technology to government enterprise and mission customers partnered to bring a modern, innovative software delivery approach to government customers. The alliance unites CACI’s specialization in implementing enterprise and critical mission capabilities with CloudBees technology for DevSecOps and Software Delivery Automation (SDA).
