Crownpeak Strengths, Domain Expertise, and Key Differentiators
Crownpeak offers a suite of tools that deliver the industry's fastest time-to-market across web content management, optimization, governance, and privacy UX. Crownpeak helps brands quickly create and deliver digital experiences that build trust and maximize customer lifetime value. On top of its CMS, Crownpeak includes built-in personalization and testing tools, on-site tag and performance monitoring, and content governance. Crownpeak provides the world's only API-based consent-as-a-service system, able to optimize progressive consent across all devices and channels.
In November 2019, Crownpeak signed a new partnership with data privacy management platform WireWheel, creating a new full suite of powerful California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) privacy tools ahead of the regulation's January 1, 2020 implementation. The partnership brings together Crownpeak's leading consent solutions with WireWheel's expertise in the area Subject Rights Request (SRR) management, a critical CCPA requirement that is often challenging for companies to operationalize efficiently and securely. Crownpeak will incorporate WireWheel's SRR capabilities within its consent experience platform – the Universal Consent Platform (UCP).
The partnership with BEACON will extend and improve the external-facing consumer experience of consent-giving within Crownpeak's Digital Experience Management (DXM) and Universal Consent Platforms. In addition, BEACON will work with Crownpeak to extend its business practices horizontally, into ToS and all other forms of EULAs, and will also become Crownpeak's premier partner for production efforts on this initiative, which make custom systems for companies that go beyond check-box compliance and redefine the global standard for consent-giving best practices.

In 2017, Corownpeak acquired Evidon, a provider of compliance and monitoring solutions for digital experiences. Evidon's solutions directly complement Crownpeak's platform by monitoring the exceptionally complex digital marketing ecosystem to ensure control and transparency throughout the digital supply chain. The acquisition expands Crownpeak’s Digital Quality Management offering by adding new monitoring and consent solutions that are essential for websites and applications to comply with privacy laws and programs around the world. The year before Corownpeak merged with UK-based ActiveStandards to provide clients with the only cloud-first DXM platform that features built-in DQM. Crownpeak Market Opportunities, M&A and Geo Expansions
In September 2021, Crownpeak unveiled a new digital experience optimization tool called Crownpeak Experience Optimization Engine. With Crownpeaks’ recent research showing that 94% of B2B businesses prioritize agility when delivering meaningful digital experiences, the new solution is designed to allow users to effectively build and manage their buyer experiences for multiple channels at scale. The Engine is the product of a partnership between Crownpeak and experience optimization platform Dynamic Yield, and aims to provide clients with the tools to build, test and deploy digital experiences from one location. Users can create relevant digital content for each stage of the buyer’s journey to help increase revenue and engagement in all appropriate channels.
The two acquisitions (ActiveStandards in 2016 and Evidon 2017) were supported by K1 Investment Management, an investment firm focused on enterprise software companies globally. K1 has invested over $100 million of equity behind the combination, with additional capital available for further investment. In December 2016, Crownpeak signaled a change with the launch of a new logo and company expansion. The company introduced a new branding and concurrent refresh a portion of the company website. As an addition to the headquarters in Los Angeles and office in London, the company expanded to Denver.
