GoTo Recent Developments
In February 2022, LogMeIn rebranded as GoTo to reflect its deep dedication to making IT easy, anywhere. GoTo’s announcement goes far beyond a new name and logo, as the company is launching a simplified product portfolio with a single application and two flagship products: the all-new IT management & support product, GoTo Resolve, and a new experience for the unified-communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) product, GoTo Connect.
In October 2021, LogMeIn unveiled a new version of its unified communications as a service (UCaaS) platform, GoToConnect Legal, tailored to address the needs of those in the legal profession by streamlining collaboration with clients and colleagues to maximize billable hours.
In May 2020, LogMeIn launched Remote Deployment for GoToMyPC enabling IT administrators and business professionals to remotely deploy, install, and configure GoToMyPC remote access software across any number of computers simultaneously.
With the coronavirus pandemic, organizations globally and across all industries are working to support a transition to a remote workforce. GoToMyPC is a market-leading, secure remote access solution enabling working professionals to instantly access their work computers and maintain day-to-day operations from anywhere. For customers who do not have the ability to undock their work computers and take their work home with them, or for instances where the VPN solution becomes overloaded, GoToMyPC unlocks the ability to maintain productivity and work from anywhere.
In April 2020, LogMeIn announced a new offering in the Contact-Center-as-a-Service (CCaaS) space with the launch of the GoToConnect Support Center. Support Center provides CCaaS functionality in an affordable and easy-to-deploy way that brings contact center capabilities to virtually any business.
In times of disruption and crisis like what most of the world is experiencing with COVID-19, it is more important than ever to maintain business continuity. Through remote work tools like those made by LogMeIn, including GoToConnect and the new Support Center offering, employees have the ability to seamlessly transition their communication needs from work done within an office setting, to working remotely. To help with the disruption caused by COVID-19, LogMeIn is offering free use of Support Center to existing GoToConnect customers until June 30, 2020.
In March 2020, LogMeIn expanded its Emergency Remote Work Kit offerings to include GoToConnect, the company’s cloud phone and Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCC) platform, to help K-12 schools make the shift to remote learning. Aimed at both customers and critical service providers like schools, hospitals, and health care companies, municipalities, and non-profit organizations, LogMeIn launched the complimentary Emergency Remote Work Kit program earlier in March, including software for video conferencing, running virtual events, remote access to PCs and servers, as well as remote IT support.
Under the expanded offering, K-12 schools will be eligible for free cloud phone and UCC services through the end of the school year via LogMeIn’s GoToConnect platform. The new offering is designed for schools to keep students, teachers, parents, administrators, and staff connected with free softphones, voice and video calling, and messaging that can be used on PCs, Macs, Chromebooks, and mobile phones (iOS and Android). And unlike traditional phone systems, no hardware, networking, or number porting is required.
