HubSpot Strengths

In less than a decade, HubSpot has built an array of applications and tools designed to boost marketing reach of more than 15,000 companies as well as partner agencies responsible for digital strategy of their clients. The inbound marketing strategy combines capabilities such as search engine optimization, blogging, social media, content management, email marketing and analytics to form a marketing automation engine for different companies. It focuses on companies with anywhere between 10 and 2,000 employees, targeting them for CRM functions like lead generation, website management, as well as a slew of inbound marketing features.

Increasingly it's making inroads into the sales force automation segment with its Sidekick app, which is designed as inbox productivity tools for salespeople. It allows for tracking email opens and clicks, campaign and contact management. HubSpot's Content Management System is written in C#, uses the ASP.Net framework, and runs on IIS web servers. The company's server-side code is in Java with Python and NodeJs. Web servers are hosted primarily in Nginx using Django for Python apps. Databases are a combination of MySQL and HBase. HubSpot runs the CentOS operating system on its Amazon EC2 servers with Windows Server for C# app servers. The dashboard uses an API to extract information about links primarily from Moz.
