Qlik Strengths

Qlik delivers intuitive platform solutions for self-service data visualization, guided analytics applications, embedded analytics and custom applications, and collaboration and reporting to approximately 39,000 customers worldwide.

Qlik Sense was officially released in September 2014, based on modern APIs and interface, and became the vendor's lead product for new customers in 2015.

In April 2015, Qlik announced its platform-based approach to BI with Qlik Sense Enterprise 2.0.

The offering spanned use cases across customers' organizations ranging from self-service data visualization, to collaboration and reporting and dashboards, to guided analytics, and embedded analytics and custom applications, all based on the patented QIX Associative Indexing Engine.

The company also introduced the Qlik Analytics Platform, a subset of Qlik Sense Enterprise, specifically designed to make it easier for developers to build any data-driven app they can imagine.

Also in 2015, Qlik released Qlik Sense Cloud Basic, which allowed sharing of applications for free, plus enhanced collaboration with the ability to publically share interactive charts through Qlik Sense Charts.

With the 2014 acquisition of DataMarket, Qlik enables seamless access to on-demand external data sources.

Committed to extending innovation to areas of customer service and support, Qlik introduced Qlik Proactive Support, a first in BI industry proactive monitoring-as-a-service solution for issue prevention and resolution, and Continuous Classroom, a 24/7 self-service learning platform that allows users to completely customize their learning journey based on their individual needs.

In February 2016, Qlik expanded its Qlik Sense Cloud offerings with the introduction of Qlik Sense Cloud Plus, which is a paid SaaS version of Qlik Sense that provides more capacity than Qlik Sense Cloud Basic - more storage, larger apps and unlimited sharing.

It also includes access to the Qlik DataMarket Essentials package.

And in May 2016, Qlik announced Qlik Sense 3.0, expected to ship in June.

Built on a fully integrated, simple, and intuitive visual analytics platform and powered by the patented QIX Associative Indexing Engine, Qlik Sense Enterprise 3.0 combines enterprise readiness and governance with best-in-class visualization and data preparation capabilities.

This breadth and depth allows organizations to meet a broad range of BI use cases from a single platform.

Also, in May Qlik announced that later this year it will again expand its cloud offering to Qlik Sense Cloud Business, which will enable anyone – from small and medium-sized businesses to individuals and workgroups within an enterprise – to create, manage, and collaborate with visual analytics in the simplicity of the cloud.
