In October 2021, AT&T, RingCentral, and DataRemote have teamed up to digitize legacy telephone lines. AT&T unveiled AT&T Phone for Business-Advanced, which converts analog traffic from POTS lines into a VoIP managed facility voice network (MFVN). An appliance from DataRemote will help connect AT&T telephones, alarms, modems, and other devices to RingCentral cloud features. As a result, businesses can pair security features, failover options, and inexpensive maintenance with the historical reliability of POTS.

In September 2021, RingCentral launched new capabilities for its RingCentral Message Video Phone (MVP) which includes using AI to enable entire meeting conversations to be automatically transcribed. This feature is designed to ensure those who join late can catch up without disrupting the meeting, and to help those that are hearing impaired stay engaged with the conversation. RingCentral added these new transcription capabilities further support its focus on creating an accessible environment, democratizing the video experience for everyone.

In Q2 2020, RingCentral announced the expansion of its strategic partnership with Atos SE with the new Unify Office as the exclusive UCaaS solution for 40 million users of the Atos Unify family of products. RingCentral Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Activities

In 3Q21 RingCentral signed Mitel as its exclusive UCaaS partner, essentially replacing its products such as Mitel Onprem PBX and CloudLink with RingCentral MVP under a $650M deal. Mitel's investor Searchlight Capital Partners will in turn invest $200M in RingCentral, which now have full access to Mitel's 35 million users and 5,000 channel partners.

RingCentral Video or RCV platform has been quickly evolving since its launch at the beginning of April. Feedback and customer reception have been very positive, and we already have over 10,000 paid RingCentral Office accounts enabled with RingCentral Video. RingCentral welcomes Atos as a direct customer to the Unify Office solution in Q2 2020. Atos will start with deploying UO to the 5,000-strong employee base of its Atos UCC division, formerly Unify. Atos will later expand UO to their entire base of over 100,000 employees.

RingCentral Market Opportunities, M&A and Geo Expansions

In October 2021, Ecotel and RingCentral announced cooperation. The joint solution is now coming onto the market as a UCaaS offering. The (UCaaS) solution from RingCentral and Ecotel can now be ordered as "RingCentral with Ecotel cloud.ucc" for business customers in Germany, which was announced this spring. The offer includes messaging services and video conferencing with telephony in a central app, thus enabling the seamless amalgamation of UCaaS services with landline telephony in HD voice quality. The configuration and administration are carried out in the self-care process directly by the customer via the web-based admin portal.

In August 2020, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, a provider of communications, networking, and cloud solutions, and RingCentral entered into a strategic partnership to introduce a new co-branded cloud solution – Rainbow Office powered by RingCentral – making it unique and exclusive for Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise. RingCentral and Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise will jointly develop programs enabling both companies to lead the cloud communications services for the enterprise market. Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise’s mission is to deliver customized technology experiences to enterprises with a verticalized business approach in networking, communications, and the cloud. Rainbow Office powered by RingCentral will enrich the company’s cloud portfolio enabling customers to accelerate their digital transformation with public Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS).
