Showpad Strengths, Domain Expertise, and Key Differentiators
Showpad offers a complete sales enablement platform for digital content, training and coaching. It has strong growth and recently expanded the executive leadership team in anticipation of further market expansion.
Showpad continues to improve on personalized coaching and training. MeetingIQ, its call recording and transcription tool, is fully integrated in Showpad, allowing sellers to learn content and jump dynamically to their most important scripts and presentations for an opportunity. This enables sellers to get to information and training faster and learn what and how to deliver information. Personalization is enabled via integration and synchronization with off-the-shelf presentation and office products. Users can search through personalized assets with dynamic documents and track insights. Showpad also includes a “dynamic document editor” for internal deal spaces that sellers, managers and content specialists can use to collaborate for unified messaging. This is a key attribute in reducing conflicting information to buyers.
Showpad’s roadmap includes enhancements in AI and sentiment analysis of reps and buyer data with MeetingIQ and PitchIQ, and improving unified reporting functions for content engagement, user activity and content ROI measurement.
Showpad Recent Developments
In August 2021 Showpad has launched Showpad Video, a new video messaging product feature that enables asynchronous communication for revenue teams, all within the Showpad platform. Showpad Video allows frictionless and impactful video recording that elevates the buyer experience. The product feature is embedded throughout the Showpad platform, seamlessly integrating into users’ content creation and management workflow. Showpad Video aims to bridge the gap between physical-digital presence in an authentic, engaging way; accelerate the sales cycle; provide context when sharing content; align buyers and sellers asynchronously to reduce meeting frequency and length, and facilitate bite-sized learnings. With Showpad Video, users can create video recordings that can be enhanced with logos, screen captures, and more to be shared directly with prospects, consumers, and team members. Users then can track video engagement using Showpad Analytics. All videos taken on Showpad Video comply with personal data regulations have end-to-end encryption and unlimited hosting capabilities.

Showpad Market Opportunities, M&A and Geo Expansions
In June 2021 Showpad reported that B2B commerce has officially entered a new era of modern selling. As organizations evolve business models to meet the expectations of today’s informed buyers, Showpad has seen immense growth on its Platform and across its organization. The company is celebrating its 10th anniversary, touting 58% year-over-year Platform growth in 2020 and 1,500 customers across more than 50 countries including Bridgestone, Kimberly-Clark, Unilever. During the pandemic, Showpad brought buyers and sellers closer together, seeing a 350% year-on-year increase in buyers on the Platform, and a 600% increase in engagement between buying and selling teams. In 2020 alone, revenue teams used Showpad as their guide in the buying process, more than doubling the use of sophisticated virtual experiences for guided selling. In response to this growth, the Showpad team aims to hire 250 employees by year-end.
Showpad Risks and Challenges
The Verticalisation and Expansion of its Ecosystem could be critical for ongoing success.
Showpad Ecosystem, Partners, Resellers and SI
In February 2020 Showpad and Threekit have partnered to bring enhanced 3D visualization and augmented reality to Showpad’s platform, improving buyer engagement and boosting the effectiveness of virtual sales experiences. Through this partnership, organizations of any kind that sell physical products can now use Threekit’s technology to configure 3D and augmented reality content directly inside the Showpad platform in real-time. This will help deliver compelling and immersive product experiences to buyers, which is especially important as many sales engagements remain virtual. Companies with highly complex, highly customizable, or simply extensive product portfolios to sell – such as those offering life sciences and medical devices, consumer products, home furnishings, and building materials – find it difficult to share, educate and engage buyers on all possible product options and permutations. Helping buyers visualize a broad product offering is exceedingly difficult, whether in-person or in a virtual sales environment.
