In March 2020, Sopra Banking Software released Cassiopae V4.7, a leasing and lending application, which is part of the company’s Sopra Financing Platform. The new release, Cassiopae V4.7, includes an enhanced digital portal for dealers and merchants, credit card processing via electronic payment partners, revolving credit for individuals, and improvements in the management of real estate and equipment leasing.

The release of Cassiopae V4.7 is part of the company’s strategic, multi-year roadmap for the specialist finance market. Next steps include further integration between Apak and Cassiopae as well as regular software updates to meet emerging requirements.

In February 2023 Sopra Steria acquired a majority stake in CS Group, a key player in critical systems design and operation, aiming to become a leading provider of critical systems and digital services for defense & security, space, and energy sectors. With 75.06% of CS Group's share capital and 76.21% of its voting rights now held by Sopra Steria, CS Group will be consolidated into Sopra Steria's accounts starting March 1, 2023.

In January 2021, Sopra Steria, a European company specializing in digital transformation, finalized on the 31st of December – via its subsidiary Sopra Banking Software, the acquisition of Fidor Solutions, the software subsidiary, and digital banking specialist of next-generation bank Fidor Bank. The project had been announced on the 17th of November 2020. This acquisition would significantly accelerate the pace of development and marketing of Sopra Banking Software’s digital solutions, in particular by augmenting the user features offered to banks through its Digital Banking Engagement Platform (DBEP) solutions.

In September 2020, Sopra Steria, a European company specializing in digital transformation, has finalised the acquisition of 94.03% of Sodifrance share capital. Founded in 1986, Sodifrance is a French digital services company with 2019 revenue of €106.5 million and an operating margin of 6.4%. It has substantial expertise in the insurance and pensions/social security/health sector (50% of revenue) for key accounts. It also has a strong presence in the banking sector (21% of revenue), and offers very high-quality application modernisation, data migration and cybersecurity services.

In March 2020, Sopra Steria has completed its acquisition of customer experience design consultancy cxpartners in a move to expand its offerings in the UK and put the customer at the heart of digital services. Based in London and Bristol and employing over 50 designers, cxpartners is renowned for delivering award winning customer centric solutions for both the public and private sectors. Since establishing in 2004, it has worked with a range of clients including the government, FTSE 100 companies and organisations operating in multiple industries such as AXA, Google and Public Health England.
