In August 2020 Yardi launched RENTCafé Chat IQ, an innovative chatbot developed by Yardi uses a combination of artificial intelligence and natural language processing to answer questions unique to each company and property. Chat IQ improves the customer experience for renters by providing immediate, intelligent, and accurate responses to chat and text messages even when a business is closed. The bot uses information from a property’s database and can be trained to give custom responses on any topic. Leasing agents may join a conversation in real-time. The property staff can view aggregated chat information in a dashboard that displays data by channel, average dialogue length, and more.
In April 2020 Yardi has rebranded its learning management software to help property managers enhance the results of a staff development program. The platform first known as Yardi eLearning is now known as Yardi Aspire.

The company’s Forge Bluepoint product is a cloud-based visitor management solution that connects to access control for many of London’s premier office buildings and allows companies to manage visitors flexibly and securely. From arrival and contactless smart access, Forge Bluepoint also integrates with other building technology such as meeting room access, elevators and parking services.
In December 2020, Yardi Acquires CommissionTrac, an Atlanta-based software company that provides revenue management software for commercial real estate companies, with a focus on commercial brokerages. This acquisition is adding Value for Commercial Clients.
In January 2020 Yardi acquired RightSource Compliance, a Minneapolis-based software consultant and developer that improves the technology experience for affordable housing providers and provides standout compliance solutions. RightSource has developed a successful software solution to assist clients with meeting complex federal and state affordable housing regulations. Yardi Market Opportunities, M&A and Geo Expansions
Through its international expansion, Yardi is banking on strong acceptance of its Voyage 7S Cloud applications, which attracted more than 1,700 customers.
Voyager 7S is deployed as software-as-a-service with three options: SaaS, in which updates are automatically applied; SaaS Select, in which the client determines when to apply updates; and Private Cloud, in which clients have their own dedicated network. The Cloud push coincided with its expansion in countries such as UAE.

Yardi Risks and Challenges
In the real-estate applications market, the long-running battle between Yardi and RealPage reached a boiling point in early 2011 when Yardi filed a lawsuit alleging that RealPage had gained unauthorized access to Yardi's computer systems. The suit was settled in June 2012 when both sides agreed to grant each other perpetual licenses and rights to the substantially expanded interface, as well as full integration between RealPage and Yardi applications. Another element in the settlement allowed RealPage to continue providing hosting services for Yardi software for current clients through 2017.
